Alex Halladay

Intern

Alex is a fourth year in the College studying Comparative Human Development and Cinema and Media Studies. Originally from Detroit, MI, she spends much of her time working with the College Admissions office and PSAC, and has been an involved member of the Emerging Minds Project since her first year.


Shannon Lindstedt

Building Manager

Shannon is a first year masters student in social work at SSA. She graduated from the College in 2002 with a History and Latin American Studies degree and has spent the past 12 years working in public education in Atlanta and Chicago.


Daniel Ramirez-Raftree

Intern

Daniel is a fourth-year in The College studying Sociology and Hispanic Literature. He spent his childhood in El Salvador and then lived in Rhode Island before coming to Chicago. Besides studying, Daniel spends his time involved with the Organization of Latin American Students, engaged with student life, playing capoeira, biking and exploring Chicago. After college, he'd like to work in urban planning or community development.


Karice Rhule

Building Manager

Karice Rhule is a second-year student at the Law School. She grew up in Jamaica and migrated to the United States to attend Colgate Univeristy. Karice worked as a Clinic Coordinator for Nova Southeastern University's Physician Assistant Program before beginning law school.


Christian Sanchez

Intern

Christian is a fourth year in the College, majoring in Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies and minoring in Human Rights. She grew up in the South West side of Chicago. Her family is from Mexico and her deep love for her culture has influenced her work on campus. She is involved in OLAS, EMP, and Latinas Promovidendo Comunidad/ Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc.  Christian loves spending her time checking out new places and different events in the city on the rare occasion she is not studying.


Vernon Smith

Building Manager

Vernon is a first year masters student in social work at SSA from Broadview, IL. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2014 with a degree in Sociology, Psychology, and African American Studies. Vernon spent most of his undergraduate years participating in the Black student union (For Members Only) and the Coalition of Colors. He enjoys watching television shows and painting in his spare time.
